The Announcement of the New Secretariat of AAPAF
Distinguished members and friends,
With the successful ending of the 7th AGM of AAPAF and the 16th EC meeting, we greeted a new year full of opportunities and challenges—2011.
First of all, please allow us to announce the following information:

1. According to the election result, China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) and Sidance were newly chosen as the co-Chairs of AAPAF (2010 to 2012) while JakArt assumed the vice-Chair.
2. Four newly-elected members joined into the EC including Sidance, Tongyeong International Music Festival, Festival/Tokyo and Macao Arts Festival. Singapore Arts Festival and Hong kong Arts Festival, as co-founding members, remain on the EC.
3. The new EC approved the proposal to extend the full membership eligibility to Pacific festivals with only one EC seat being allocated to a full Pacific member festival.
4. According to the related association rules concerning secretariat’s office location, the secretariat has moved from Singapore to Shanghai and sit with CSIAF.
In this new year, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival plans to establish China Festivals and Events Association, endeavors to tap huge potential in Chinese cultural market and facilitate the exchange and cooperation between festivals and festivals. As the new secretariat, CSIAF will also spear no efforts to create an increasingly broad platform for the communication and coordination among Asian counterparts even the world. So we hope to get your support, expect your active participation, adopt your golden idea and bring the AAPAF’s future to a new climax with our co-efforts.
