Flanders’ Festival plays a key role in the international collaboration project MusMA- Music Masters on Air.  11 Festivals in Europe and beyond, together with their associated broadcasting partners, join forces in order to give promising contemporary composers and young musicians chances to establish recognition internationally. Because the project is a paragon of international cooperation, president of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy has happily accepted to patronise the project.

From the artistic side,  Sir Simon Rattle himself has stepped up as the patron of the master classes for composers and musicians MusMA organizes on a yearly basis. With a solid base in Europe, MusMA – Music Masters on air is ready for expanding its dimensions and is talking to the China Shangai International Arts Festival and the Hong Kong Arts Festival for a partnership in the project. Other Asian Festivals are welcome to join.
