The 2011 Melbourne Festival is Brett's most pan-cultural with artists visiting from Russia, Iraq, South Africa, India, Sudan, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, China, Iraq, Lithuania, Ireland, Syria, Ukraine, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as many fascinating presentations from our own Australian artists.

The Festival theme of coming together, of finding what unites us across cultures, includes works that celebrate what can be achieved through unity, call-to-action, protest and politics and assembly of people.

This year, we invite you to try something different, explore this beautiful city in ways you've never thought of before, follow your nose, and have fun!
