Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department will present the 4th edition of World Cultures Festival” - Enchanting of Arts in Asia from 20 October to 20 November 2011.The festival will bring a colourful array of top-quality programmes ranging from classical and traditional repertories, to new interpretations with modern perspectives. It aims to showcase the many-faceted gems and beauty of Asian arts and cultures, and provide a platform for cultural exchange within the region. The festival explores the valuable artistic traditions and rich treasures of cultural legacies of Asia. Programme highlights include the world renowned National Ballet of China, Shanghai Yue Opera Company, the energetic taiko concert by the legendary Etitetsu Hayashi from Japan, water puppetry by Thang Long Water Puppet Troupe from Vietnam, traditional Korean percussion and dance performance by Chae Hyang Soon Dance Company, gamelan and dance from North Bali by Gong Tri Pitaka, Legend Lin Dance Theatre from Taiwan, Desh by the world famous choreographer and dancer Akram Khan on his homeland Bangladesh, and more.
